Summer Solstice: Sound re-dug 2022

In June 2022 we presented a talk on the development of the GAIA website, ‘Evolving Ourselves with Unnatural Selection: Creating a Better You for the Sound Re-dug festival at the Bidsten Observatory in Liverpool. BO is a self-organising, communal study site that focuses on providing individual users and groups with a temporary placeĀ  to develop projects that require time and space in a flexible, non-pressured environment.

Our audience included artists, local activists, artist and researchers in residence, alongside members of the general public. This was a very engaged audience, who continued to engage with us and teh research over the two days of the festival. We are really grateful to be invited to this amazing venue by the team who run this space, and to be fed for the two days we were there.

There were a number of amazing talks and workshops, as well as concerts on for the weekend, which made the whole event truly inspiring, this included a listening session outside in the sun.

Check out the event and all the other exciting things the folks at Bidsten organise at their venue.
